RocketCake Review
RocketCake is a WYSIWYG HTML editor which allows users to create responsive (= can be used on tablet or PC) templates based websites without having to write any code. Its graphical tools make it possible to add text, images (floating or slideshows), YouTube videos, resizable containers, stylish buttons and gradients. It also supports a variety of advanced page elements such as tables, rounded corners and HTML5 audio/video. There is a professional edition which offers support for custom CSS, PHP and JavaScript and user-defined breakpoints code.
RocketCake offers an attractive and easy-to-use project window, where you'll find all the functions and tools. The top toolbar helps you deal with all the management tasks - open and save projects, add new pages and manage the list of current ones. You can also access various settings - choose the default template for the project, configure and change the web browser used to preview projects on a local computer and so on.
RocketCake is a decent, responsive website creation program, even for beginners who are not too familiar with programming. However, it desperately needs more and better templates and the core designer is pretty basic. It does, however, support a reasonable set of page components and if you're willing to invest the time and patience to learn how it works it could be worth taking for a spin. You can even start with one of the pre-designed templates and tamper with it until you discover all its features.
